Giving gyan and following your own path with Meenakshi Chakraverti
Meenakshi Chakraverti is from Bengal, India, but has been living in the United States for more than 40 years. She has a Masters in Public Administration from Princeton University, a PhD in Social Anthropology from Cornell University, and two grown daughters.
Meenakshi works in leadership and conflict resolution, and is also a published author. Her first novel Night Heron –which Claudia has a signed copy of– is available for purchase online, and she’s written a second novel which will hopefully be published soon!
We talked to Meenakshi about following your own path even when it’s not what your parents want, applying to college via mail, and raising kids that are “half Indian, half German, and all american”.
